Free school meals AND extra cash for schools

Lib Dems in government deliver better deal for local children
ALL children from the ages of 5-7 in Sheffield are to receive free school meals starting next September.
The announcement, made by Sheffield Lib Dem MP Nick Clegg, has been warmly welcomed 
by parents and the Children’s Society.
Local Lib Dem campaigner, Steve Ayris, said,
“This will help parents with the cost of living, but just as importantly, studies show that it helps children do better in school.
“I’m really proud that the Lib Dems in government have delivered this.”
Cash boost
Sheffield schools are also benefiting to the tune of £18million extra thanks to the Lib Dem Pupil Premium. Nine schools in the Graves Park area will benefit from a total of more than £800k under the Pupil Premium this year.
